The monument for Fr. R. Faehlmann , the author of the idea of
Estonian epos in Tartu mellowed slowly. For there did not come in
enough money from the collection, it was only possible to mould
his bust instead of his whole figure. The results of the public
competition for finding the draft were not good enough either…
The statue was finally erected in 1930.
