Built in the15th century St. Maurice’s Lutheran Church’s medieval
walls in Virumaa and the massive bell tower with fire trenches are
meant for protection purposes. Lightning has hit the tower more
than once and lit it so the roof on top of it is from the year 1865.
There might still be war marks on the walls for the church also got
damaged in the Livonian War and in the Great Nordic War.
