Nature trail runs on the hills and valleys surrounding Lake Paukjärv. It is surrounded by different types of forest - the moist and dim boreal forest  and the pine forest full of light.

 

Location:

Kuusalu municipality, Harju County, in the area between the Soodla and Valgejõgi rivers around Lake Paukjärv.

 

Parking: facilities Parking for 20 cars or max 3 buses in Kaksiksilla parking area at the start of the trail
Amenities: A loop trail, marked with spots of yellow paint on trees, 9 spots of interests with descriptions on the trail, observation tower, campsite on the shore of Lake Paukjärv.

Hiking options: yes
Sights: Varied forest lakes and terrain, different forest types, former YMCA campsite (from the pre-WWII period)
Berries and mushrooms: Bilberries, cowberries, chanterelles
Winter accessibility: No snow removal on the nature trail
