It is probable that the building of this church started in the end of the 13th or in the
beginning of the 14th century. From the Medieval interior there has remained the tile of
the altar which, from the 17th century, has functioned as a floor tile beneath the buttress
of the chancel. The remaining stem of the baptismal font is told to have been used as a
pillory.
