The estate was founded in the 16th century and belonged to the von Nolckens for a long time. At the beginning of the 20th century, the main part of the estate was elaborated – since then the estate has had a Heimat style two-storey main building and a number of highly aristocratic outbuildings. The main building houses a school. A natural park is situated between the lake and the manor's entrance road. All the paths of the park provide an enjoyable view of the lake.
