Viru Gates in Tallinn were built in the 14th century. The main tower
is from the time between 1345–1355. Viru Gates’ towers one can
see today are only a part of what once used to stand there. Behind
the gates starts the arterial street of Old Town, Viru Street, with its
shops, restaurants, pubs.
