The monument for FR. R. Kreutzwald who constructed the
Estonian epos Kalevipoeg stands on the shore of the Lake Tamula
in Võru. The author of the monument is Amandus Adamson. The
date of establishing the park is unknown. There is a beach on the
lake shore and a classical music festival, Järvemuusika, the Lake


Music in the end of July.The monument  of Fr. R. Kreutzwald stands in a beautiful park on the shore of the Lake Tamula. The monument dates back to 1926 and its author is Amandus Adamson.

The age of the park is yet unknown, but the trees in it are believed to be more than a hundred years old.

The average depth of the Tamula Lake is 4,2 m and it has a beautiful sandy beach.
