The bold and talented general of Scottish roots, Michael Barclay de Tolly (1761--1818) led the conquering of Paris in the 31st of March in 1814. His widow had his earthly remains embalmed and set in the mausoleum 1.5 kilometers away from the family's manor in Jõgeveste. The bodies of the count and countess Barclay de Tolly still rest there in the 200 years old sarcophaguses.
