The length of the Verijärve (Blood Lake) nature trail is around 1 km. The trail is fringed with 9 information boards introducing local species of plants, trees, birds and animals. The trail runs along ancient valley and forest. A legend tells that in the old times slaves were being beaten in a cellar on the shore of the lake and the waters were therefore turned red by blood.
