The church (built in 1755, rebuilt in 1870) is renowned as the ”Admiralty church” that the Russian sailors are said to have built on the wreck of a ship. The church was handed over to an Estonian congregation in the 1920s. The building, used as a gym during the Soviet times, has been reconsecrated and re-estated.
