The enemy chopped Kalevipoeg’s legs off when he was sleeping. He chased them
on his knees but died eventually. When he was buried it was done together with a
large amount of gold. Having tried to find it people have dug out large bones. Probably
belonged to the Votes though who lived there during the Iron Age.
