The Economy Hotel is a small, cozy tourist-class hotel on the edge of Tallinn’s Old Town. We pride ourselves on offering our guests a caring, personal style of service, ensuring that your first visit to Economy Hotel certainly won’t be the last.
Our hotel was built at the end of the 19th century, when it was named the “Grand Hotel” – one of the first of its kind in Tallinn.
The building was reconstructed in the 1920’s, playing host to an hotel and a restaurant / cocktail bar right up until 1940. The building miraculously survived the bombardment of March 9, 1944, when 53% of the residential areas of Tallinn were destroyed. The Hotel was last fully renovated in 2003 by Skåne. Starting on May 2010 it was named the Economy Hotel by new operator.
