Vabamu Museum of Occupations and Freedom provides a comprehensive overview of Estonian society during three periods of occupation: the first Soviet occupation 1940–1941, the German occupation 1941–1944, and the second Soviet occupation 1944–1991.
Audio-visual displays and photos highlight the events of the era, repression and national resistance, as well as showing how people coped with the day-to-day realities of this difficult period.
Guided tours (in Finnish, English, Russian, German and French) are available upon prior reservation for 35 EUR/ group (up to 25 people).
There is a small museum shop. Museum rooms can be rented for seminars, receptions, presentations, etc.

Accommodation in the hostel
The four-storey hostel is completely renovated in 2007. There are 55 Twin/double rooms and 16 Triples. Each room have a shower/WC, TV and balconies.
