First mentioned in 1482 it is believed a heavy fortified building was in the estate during
the Middle Ages. The current main building, lighter Late Baroque in style was completed
in 1802. A rumour goes that the house was burnt down during the 1905 Let’s Burn
Down All the Manors activity but it only got ravaged. A log fire in some corner cannot be
excluded though.
