It was as late as 1938 that bringing food, dancing, partying and building a fire is
mentioned in connection with the oak. It was as late as the beginning of the 20th century
that coins were still brought to the tree. In 1941 a bomb exploded right next to it and
caused it wounds but it is still standing after 321 years.
