Introduction:

The landscape in Karula National Park changes from mysterious boggy forests and
lakes to hills and meadows brooks running through all of them. Half of the landscape

is molded by human activity. There are places people have cultivated for thousands of
years. Old paths – one on the hayfield, one for the winter, one for the horse – still speak
of that time.
