The oldest burnt bones of the mound date back to the 3rd century but suddenly the burying stops in the 5th. In 1887 the Baltic Germans reached the ecstasy over the history of their homeland and did the first archeological excavations there. Found pottery and logic allows us to presume there was a settlement site nearby too.
