Maidla Post Station

Introduction:

In the beginning there were only the barrel houses that the busy post horses had a chance to have a rest by. In 1860 an independent post stations was built to Maidla. It was closed down in 1931 when the post service stopped using horses, the station has survived as a whole though, with its horse-stable, granary, dwelling, carriage house and cote.
